The Sports Fan

Having a Bud at a pub,
I see ten high-definition TV’s blasting above.
The tavern is filled with sports fans,
here and there, anticipating the big game!

Star player intros highlight the view,
Opinions within the tavern pass from ear to ear.
Sports trivia is shared with every fan.
bombard sports nuts for their review.

A great play brings an uproar! 
A hilarious fanatic screams in my ear.
Patrons fabricate their players’ past performances,
predict the outcome of the game.

An affectionate male pinches a maiden’s butt. 
Their hearts go—pitter-patter.
A smiling and laughing lady recants,
"Oh baby, do it again! Buy me, another beer!"

FEARLESS FLIGHTS!

Flying through the snow
on a frisky pair of skis,
over the hills I go,
yelling all the way...
Ha, ha, ha! 

Skiers & snowboarders glide,
making spirits bright.
What fun it is to ride and zing,
a skiing flight tonight

Ohhh...!
Fearless falls,
Fearless falls!
The snow is turning pink.
I think I'm crashing into trees!
Will someone call my Shrink?

Ohhh...!
911!
911!
Will someone call my wife?
Take me to a hospital and
feed me whiskey shots!

July Thought of the Month!

In the quietness, stillness, and darkness of the night, sit and listen to classical music, soft rock, or country love songs with the one you love.  But make sure you share some special time together!

But remember, if you are in a rebuilding mode, happiness doesn't come with the abstinence of challenge.  Caring and trust doesn't come with the abstinence of conflict.  Love doesn't come without the risk of rejection or trial. 

SUMMER BREEZE

Imagining spring gardens from balcony above
bring warm thoughts to dawn air:
the serenity of breathless moments,
the sight of finches in flight,
and the silent peace of early spirits.

Sunlight peeks from heavenly sky above.
Rays fill my body with warmth.
Spring crocuses and then tulips
provide weekly surprises,
sneaking and popping out of the rich fertile black earth.

There's passionate energy of new birth challenge:
first green, then baby blue blossoms,
white, and pale yellow colors.
I will be dazzled by beauty, as rows of vibrant banners
fill my dreams with blissful sights.

They go to another dimension,
where only angels appear.
Listening for flowers that whisper
and sing music to my ears...
anticipating a special kick-off to a new warm year.

SKIING SLOPESTYLE!

With the sky high afternoon sun and
freshly fallen snow,
we ride up a mountain to 10,000 feet.
The winter temperature is chilling!

Aspens glisten with brightly shining rays.
Our gondola ride is a delight.
We see virgin powdered snow,
feel the adrenelin in our smiles.

Stoked, anxious for a descent. 
We attempt a downhill slope,
carving through rough terrain.
This slope is better than awesome!

The silence is serene.
Skis trigger snow crystals in our face,
as we race,
refreshes as it sprays

We are cutting, now,
through tree-lined trails and
accelerating as we go.
Our hearts are pounding against our chests.

We feel an internal body rush,
a climax beyond our control!
The thrill of downhill skiing,now,
flowing through our veins.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S WEEK?

I have a great observation!  If someone says that they have to get together with you some day, they never will. If they actually invite you to a special event, then you know that they are sincere. What does this have to do with your ability to make new friends?

You might have great intentions to help someone, but until you do it, it does not mean much.  Be careful what you say to others.  If you make it sound to them like you are trying to make an effort on their behalf or if you never offer to help or don't respond, that is one thing. If you do offer to help and don't, potential friends will be disappointed.

So in this time of year try to make a new friend.  It might even bring you new happiness!  Happy Valentine's Day!

A SPECIAL I CAN DO FOR 2018!

Trust and understanding of our inner soul are the things that lead to happiness. Yet sometimes we continue to beat up or battle our self. When we cannot trust anyone else, when we feel worthless with life's challenges, how can we be happy?

Our responsibility in society is to be honest, so trust is returned.  What you sow you will reap!  We should thank others for helping us to bring joy in our life.   This brings happiness to all, including you.   If you want successful and happy relationships foster an understanding of building up each other’s knowledge, self esteem, and pride.  Get rid of the words, "I can't do this!"
